A jewel

Hidden in the Cremona countryside
A jewel

In the province of Cremona, there is Stilo de 'Mariani, a fraction located south of the town of Pessina Cremonese.

Here a Milanese architect has designed a newly built villa that is built on one level.

What characterizes it from the architectural point of view are the geometrical games that are expressed with different volumes and heights. The ceilings are all in wood, bleached in the living area and honey tones in the other rooms of the house. The floors are in a fine wood-effect stoneware with long slats. The general chromatic tones of the Maison are pastel and neutral, with insertions here and there of bright colors in shades of blue and mustard. Paints with metallic effects have also been used to make the environment even brighter.

The heart of the villa is the large central area, the real heart of the house, foreseen by the living area in: kitchen, dining area, and living room.

To give order and movement at the same time to a so wide surface, it was decided to delimit the kitchen area with a lowering of the ceiling that strategically also hide the hood motor. The kitchen has been furnished with a perfect Pienza model in milky white color. The amplitude of the available spaces has made it possible to create a large central island and not to use wall units also to enhance the ribbon window under which the sink was placed. To characterize and embellish the whole of columns placed in a niche and therefore a thread with the wall, and the particular tiling with concrete effect in chromatic tones that perfectly match the color of the lowered ceiling and worktops.

Moving into the dining area is a fixed table with a length of 250 cm, perfect for convivial dinners, with a central decoration and chair seats upholstered with suede fabric.

Behind the table, there is a large L-shaped sofa that faces a line of low furniture that also houses the TV: they have been specifically designed to accommodate and enhance the particular trend of the off-team wall.

But if all's well what starts well, it is good to dwell for a moment on the entrance and on the ultra-modern piece of furniture that plays on inclined volumes, in line with the general concept of the villa.

The master bedroom, with its soft tones and color spikes reserved for the bedspread and the armchair, is furnished with a leather upholstered bed with a tiltable headboard, accompanied by heat-treated oak bedside tables that reflect the central section of the sliding wardrobe.

Finally the bathrooms. The en suite bathroom has a modern cabinet with a bronze finish and a dark wood top, which recalls bedside tables and the central section of the wardrobe.

The bathroom in the sleeping area is furnished with a modern midnight blue piece with a marble effect top, in keeping with the cement effect tiles used in the shower.
